Try to avoid "over designing" your site with filler content that may cloud your message. When adding elements to your site you should answer the questions for each:

  • Are they interesting without being distractive?
  • Does the file size negatively impact the presentation?

• Text

  • Does it get your message across they way you intended?
  • Is it easy to read?
  • Does the message flow?

• Layout

  • Is it easy to navigate, ie. clear buttons, logical flow, etc?

• Balance

  • Does the design overshadow your message?
  • Is there useful information as well as the sales pitch?
